Kefir; a special pre-biotic
Fermented foods, like this pre-biotic that I am going to teach you how to prepare, are very suitable for good intestinal health!
Kefir is a ferment that is produced from "grains" or nodules. These grains are, in fact, colonies of yeasts and bacteria, which when combined with water and sugar, produce lactic acid generating fermentation.
Preparing it is very easy, and its consumption is very beneficial, since it helps maintain good intestinal health.
Many people give their nodules, because they reproduce easily. If you do not know anyone who can give them to you, you can get them in the diet.
To prepare it, place in a jar (preferably glass), 1 tablespoon of Kefir nodules per liter of water. You add some kind of candy, like:
- 3 tablespoons of sugar mascabo
- 2 tablespoons of honey
In addition you can add prunes, raisins, which will give a more pleasant taste.
It is important that you add some citrus, such as slices of lemon or orange. The jug should be covered with a cloth that does not allow the entrance of flies, and that allows the free circulation of air (can be a piece of half can can or another porous fabric).
In the warm summer months, in 24 hours the ferment will be done. During the winter months it usually takes 48 hours. After that time, it is filtered and you can start drinking.
It is recommended at the beginning to test with a glass on an empty stomach, and to assess individual tolerance. If you like it and feel that you tolerate it well, you can take it throughout the day.
It is very suitable for those people with constipation problems, gastric diseases, intestinal disorders, skin diseases, or simply to maintain good intestinal health.
